Use the ColumnManagerRow and the ColumnManagerCell to set the properties you need so it will look as you wish. Note however that some properties like BackColor cannot be set in all situations, because its setting is decided by the theme on the OS and/or on the Grid.
For example, on Vista, if the OS theme is set to Aero, and the UIStyle of the GridControl is set to System, you can’t change the color of the ColumnManagerRow. However, if the grid or the OS is set to Classic, then you can set it.
