    Hi,

We’re about to start implementing on our application the FTP Library.

Which in your experience are the must common errors found when using the Library.

We’ve been reading some bibliography about the FTP philosophy (general documentation).

    – I think we must take in mind the technology (OS) on the server, for example.
    – The Client DTP. That is the client data transfer process responsible for communicating with the server data transfer process and the local file system, for example.
    – The server DTP. The server data transfer process responsible for communicating with the client data transfer process and the remote file system, for example.
    – The User Interface. That provides a user interface and drives the client protocol interpreter.

An much more doubts we have.

It will be very helpfull to receive some recomendations.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello,

When using the Xceed FTP Library, the most common “errors” that are encountered are as follows:

1- Make sure that DCOM is installed on the 95 and 98 machines

    (95 – http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom/dcom95/dcom1_3.asp)
    (98 – http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom/dcom98/dcom1_3.asp)

2- Make sure that Winsock2 is installed

3- Passive mode is often an issue when dealing with multiple types of FTP servers. Make sure that you provide the option to turn it on or off. This is done by setting the PassiveMode property to true or false.

If you encounter any errors, contact technical support (support@xceedsoft.com) and they will be able to assit you.

    I hope this helps!
