I want to setup a grid with merged cells to make the column headers easier for the user to understand the data, but this appears to be something that cant be done.

So my only alternative is to have 2 grids with one above the other. The top most grid holding what i want for my column headers (which will be the width of say about 5 or so columns of the bottom most grid).

Is it possible to set the top most grid to scroll as the user scrolls the bottom grid, so the columns in both grids are always in alignment?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The cell merging is not supported. However, you can use this sample that shows how to implement a mock of cell merging. It will be simpler and more clean then a second grid.
