I am writting a data import facility that should be able to accept incomming data in multiple formats from multiple customes sits, so we can’t impose a format on them. WinZop and WinRar being the most common compression tools used.
I downloaded the 45 day trial to see if XCeed Zip for .Net would do the job. It works great for unpacking zip files, but I can’t seem to find how to unpack a .rar (created using WinRar version 3.9). Pushing a .rar file though the ZipArchieve class throws error “The zip end header signature could not be found in the zip file. Zip file: C:\temp\temp.rar”. Code snippet is as follows
DiskFile zf = new DiskFile(“C:\\temp\\temp.rar”);
DiskFolder df = new DiskFolder(“C:\\temp\\test”);
ZipArchive za = new ZipArchive(zf);
Can you tell me if Xceed supports a WinRar created file and if so, how I should go about unpacking it?
