    Hi !

i have a problem with this DLL (trial version at the moment).

Sometimes , during execution of “ReceiveFile” and “Connect” method, my application stops to work…

In the first case, executing the debug through VB6, the cursor remain blocked on the “receivefile” call … but the file it does not come received.

In the second, it seems that application remains in wait to connect to the FTP Server but no error message comes generated.

    The “Abort” method don’t work..

    Have you some suggestions?

Thanks !! (and sorry for my poor english)

I have the same problem. I am forced to kill the w3wp.exe process to get the app to stop locking up on the file. Has anyone come up with a solution for this?

I have also the same problem. The transfer stars perfectly well and suddenly, it stops on any file. The only way to end the program is Ctrl Alt Delete.

I have this problem too, i have a scheduled program running many times during the night in order to align some files, during one of these activities (apparently a random one), it remains there until I stop the object (a COM+ object) using this component.

it’s strange, i suppose that the method should have some timeout mechanism in order to avoid this :~

    I forgot adding these informations

I am using FTP library (NOT for .net), within a software written in Visual C++ with COM+
    the version is 1.1.107

I found another component that solves this problem.
It is developped by Catalyst and it manages this kind of blocking (Timeout)
    (Catalyst Development Corporation™)

thanks, but at this moment i can’t change my source code for using another object, moreover, i verified the FTP server log and it seems that the open of the connection is correctly executed and the control returned to the object, so it seems to be a problem of the object.

    thank you anyway
