    Hi Diane,

    We are in a bilingual environment (French/English) and thus have to deal with accents a lot in our searches. The accent-sensitive only behavior of the filter causes usability issues for our users (Ex. searching for “eric” will not return “éric”).

    Do you have some sample starter code or good documentation on how we could replace the built-in FilterCriterion while maintaining the functionality of the FilterRow?

    Thanks.

    BTW, I emailed this to priority support as well.

    Have you followed the following

    1)Page appears in browser

    2)Type a valid date in the control ie press 20091210 ( do not hit enter at the end and it must be a valid date)

    3)Click on the down arrow on the control to see the calendar appear

    4)Press previous month button.

    If thoise do not work for you then sorry for all the troubles ( the entire thread can be deleted since it is not usefull to others )

    Thanks for your time and effort in this investigation

    I tried to attach a file to the post and it crashes.

    Here is the XAML code for the page ( it was a XAML Browser Application – Full trust )

    <Page x:Class=”TestXceed.Page1″

        xmlns=”http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation&#8221;

        xmlns:x=”http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml&#8221;

        xmlns:xcdg=”http://schemas.xceed.com/wpf/xaml/datagrid&#8221;

        Title=”Page1″>

        <Grid>

            <DockPanel>

                <ToolBarTray DockPanel.Dock=”Top”>

                    <ToolBar Name=”tlbMain”></ToolBar>

                </ToolBarTray>

                <xcdg:DataGridControl Name=”xdgMain” IsTextSearchEnabled=”True” NavigationBehavior=”RowOnly”></xcdg:DataGridControl>

            </DockPanel>

        </Grid>

    </Page>

    Here is the code behind

    using System.Windows.Controls;

    namespace TestXceed

    {

        /// <summary>

        /// Interaction logic for Page1.xaml

        /// </summary>

        public partial class Page1 : Page

        {

            public Page1()

            {

                InitializeComponent();

                CreateControls();

            }

            private void CreateControls()

            {

                DockPanel oDock = new DockPanel();

                Label oLbl = new Label();

                oLbl.Content = “Date”;

                Xceed.Wpf.Controls.DatePicker oControl = new Xceed.Wpf.Controls.DatePicker();

                //Occurs when you set a date in code (sometimes) or type a date in front-end

                //and then expand control and click previous month

                oControl.SelectedDate = System.DateTime.Now;

                oDock.Children.Add(oLbl);

                oDock.Children.Add(oControl);

                this.tlbMain.Items.Add(oDock);

            }

        }

    }

    Thanks for your help.

    As I was saying in my post I am not using the control to be a grid editor but using the control elsewhere in a toolbar. I know that when the control is a column editor behavior is fine.
