I’m evaluating Xceed Chart for .NET and so far I am quite impressed. It seems to be everything I want and more. Using the sample program and the help, I’ve been able to figure out just about everything I’ve wanted to know. However, one thing has troubled me and it seems like it should be easy/obvious.
I’m looking to display a bar chart that has potentially thousands of bars. I don’t want all of the bars shown (smashed) in the window, rather, I’d like to set the bar size and then have scroll bars displayed for the user to navigate to the bars they’d like to see. What is the best way to go about this?

In the Chart Explorer sample, check the “Axes” -> “Ruler” -> “Paging” sample. Set the Page mode to “Fixed Page Size” and the Page Size to around “50”. Then, you can move the Current Page Value scroll bar as would do your users with your app. You can take a look at the code behind using the sample, or take a look at Axis.Ruler.PagingMode in the documentation.
