I’m encountering an issue where using the Real-Time Zip writer class with AES encryption enabled on a system with FIPS enabled, it is throwing an exception. The exception basically states that the RijndaelManaged encryption algorithm is not FIPS compliant and the application can’t proceed.

Is there any way that you guys can change it so that the AES encryption is done with the FIPS-compliant System.Security.Cryptography.AESCryptoServiceProvider class instead? Otherwise it appears that this component can’t be used on any system where FIPS is turned on in the OS.

You can force the component to use AesCryptoServiceProvider by using the ZipWriter.AesAlgorithmManager property.
