Im looking to purchase the xceed grid control but I had some questions…

Can Exceed Grid support handling of millions of rows in something similiar to virtualmode in DataGridView? I want to be able to display rows to the user from a cache so as not to have all the rows in memory. Also have you tested this kind of functionality?

I’ve run into various performance issues with DataGridView and I am looking for a more optimal replacement.

    Thanks alot

I noticed on another forum post that virtual mode was implemented as of version 3.6. But my question still remains if its been tested with a considerably large number of rows (millions).

    Thanks

We implemented “Cell Virtualization”, but not “Data Virtualization”. Meaning that, in the end, the data gets loaded into the application at some point.

We tested our Grid with a “considerably large number of rows”, but many different factors can affect the performance of the Grid: the number of columns, the available RAM memory, etc.
