    while trying to zip the files, i created a catch for the errors and to log the message that they would give, on the log file, i saw the that error. it did not have any more details, just that.

    i checked the files that had the error, i saw that the files did not have date stamps, maybe that is why this error occured. how can i go around this?

    I too am getting this error. I get it when my file soruce is a CD. Here’s my code.

    Dim MyZipFile As New ZipArchive(New DiskFile(OutputFileName))
    Dim MySource As New DiskFolder(SourceFolder)

    MyZipFile.DefaultEncryptionPassword = Password
    MyZipFile.SplitNameFormat = SplitNameFormat.PkZip
    MyZipFile.SplitSize = 1048576 * Megabytes

    MySource.CopyFilesTo(MyZipFile, True, True)

    It works great when I coppied the CD to my hard drive. All of the file dates are 10/31/2005
    Thanks
    Jon
