Is there a way to maintain the original order that the files are added to the zip archive? Regardless of the order that I add the files, they are stored alphabetically.

I have a requirement to put the files into the archive in a specified order and have not been able to do so.

This is not possible with our Zip for .NET product. It uses a classes that automatically sorts alphabetically the file paths.

To be able to put the files in an other order, you could use our Real-Time Zip product.

Ok, I tried the Real-Time Zip product and it does put them in the correct order. However, I now have a new issue. When I use WinZipAes encryption I cannot extract the files from the zip file.

The WinZip program throws an error message that states that “The size of the extracted file (33167 bytes) does not match the uncompressed size(0 bytes) recorded in the zip file.”.

If I use compatible it works fine. Any idea what is causing this?

    Thanks

Which version of Winzip are you using? On our side, we notice that version 10 and up were working. Winzip corrected a bug between version 9 and 10. It fixed the issue.

The file versions for both the Xceed.Zip.dll and Xceed.Compression.dll are both 3.7.8113.16100.

    Are these the most current?

Yes, you need to use WinZip 10 and up to open the archive created by our Real-Time Zip component.
