We are using your FTP for .NET component and everything was working fine until a recent update was applied and now we keep getting an error that the file doesn’t exist when we know 100% for sure it does exist. In fact, we use the Xceed ZIP for .NET component to generate the Zip file we intend to upload to the remote Ftp server. Here is the exception:
Xceed.Ftp.FtpInternalException: Unexpected exception while processing an FTP command. —> Xceed.FileSystem.ItemDoesNotExistException: Cannot perform the requested operation on an item that does not exist.
at Xceed.Ftp.Engine.SendFileFtpCommandSequence.OnCommandStarting(BaseFtpCommand command)
at Xceed.Ftp.Engine.FtpCommandSequence.CommandCompleted(IAsyncResult asyncResult)
— End of inner exception stack trace —
at Xceed.Ftp.Engine.FtpCommandSequence.EndExecute(IAsyncResult asyncResult)
at Xceed.Ftp.FtpClient.SendFile(FtpCommandChannel commandChannel, SendFileFtpCommandSequence sendSequence)
at Xceed.Ftp.FtpClient.SendFile(String localFilename)
Any help on this error would be greatly appreciated.

We can’t really tell just by looking at the exception in this case. Can you provide a code snippet of what you are doing?

we experience the same probleme since december 2008. the code snipped from our program is:
result = http://ftp.BeginGetFolderContents(“”,null,null);
http://ftp.Timeout = StdTimeout;
recvfiles = http://ftp.EndGetFolderContents(result);
catch (Exception x)
Error(“Fehler beim Lesen des Benutzerverzeichnisses auf dem FTP-Server.\n\n”+x.Message+”\n”,true);
the program works fine since 2004 on about 3000 computers. we have the problem only since december 2008.
