    Hi,

I have the following installed on my machine:

    1. VS 2008
    2. Silverlight 1.1
    3. Expression Blend (preview 2)
    4. Expression Web
    5. ASP extension 3.5

I downloaded the Xceed Grid for WPF with the goal of using the grid on the the following:

    a. use the Grid on a Silverlight page
    b. use the grid on a ASP.Net page

After that when I started VS2008, the only enabled control that I identified following issues:

    – The only Xceed control that is enabled is Xceed Chart control and not the Datagrid.
    – When I double click / drag and drop the enabled control onto a asp.net webform,
    nothing happens.

Any help to resolve the above issues will be highly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Soumitra

    Hi,

    To answer the various points:

    – The only UI control Xceed has for ASP.NET is Xceed Chart for ASP.NET, the rest are file/data controls.
    – Xceed DataGrid for WPF does not work with Silverlight 1.1 nor 2.0. A new grid must be built for Silverlight.
    – For help with the the chart for ASP.NET, please post in the chart’s forum.
    – Xceed DataGrid for WPF works with Blend.

    I hope this helps.

Are there plans for a Silverlight Xceed Grid? I’d happily pay for a quality grid control in Silverlight.

Definitely a DataGrid for Silverlight 2. But it is still a ways off… Our first Silverlight 2 product will be Xceed Upload for Silverlight, Q2 2008.
