I’m currently stress testing the Datagrid. We are using 10’000 rows with about 30 columns of mixed data (strings, doubles, etc…). The grid is bound to an ObservableCollection<…>.
When I use the “implemented for free” sorting by clicking on the column headers, the table can take about 5 seconds to re-organize, during which time the mouse shows an hourglass icon.
I would like to know if it’s possible to subscribe to the advancement of this sorting, so that I can show the progress on my progressbar at the bottom of the window ?
Thanks a lot for your wonderful grid, it has been a godsend up to now.

Thank you for your kind comments.
Unfortunately, there is no hook at the moment that you could use to get progress information on sorting.
However, we are currently considering several responsiveness and performance enhancements that could reduce the latency experience while sorting ( or performing other lengthy operations).
