While using the latest Xceed DatGrid in WPF, how to merge cells in a given row or column ?

Is there a explicit property suggesting merging of cells for a given column or row ?

I did an extensive search in the Help documentation. Didn’t find the necessary help.

The following table representation indicates the kind of merging that’s expected:

    Existing Table
    ***********

    Col1 Col2 Col3
    ———————————————————-
    A1 XYZ QWER
    ———————————————————-
    A1 SER DERT
    ———————————————————-
    A1 DGS ADER
    ———————————————————-
    A2 DFG JGDS
    ———————————————————-

After Merging Col1 according to groups like A1, A2 ,etc
    *********************************************

    Col1 Col2 Col3
    ———————————————————-
    A1 XYZ QWER
    ——————————–
    {Empty Space} SER DERT
    ——————————–
    {Empty Space} DGS ADER
    ———————————————————-
    A2 DFG JGDS
    ———————————————————-

So how to achieve this group merging in a given cell or row ?

We do not support such behavior at the moment…

The closest you can get is to group by Col1 and hide Col1 (Column.Visible), but it will not be exactly as indicated above.

We’ve noted it as a feature request.
