    hi all,

only a short question: are there summaryrows planned for the wpf datagrid? or, if not, is it hard to code such summary rows on your own?

    thanks for answers

Yes, summary rows are planned… (no time frame yet, but its not on our back burner).

As for the complexity of creating one yourself… If your needs are pretty specific… Then it shouldn’t be a problem…

You could add you “summary” control in the headers and footer and access the DataGridControl’s Items property to calculate whatever you need (if global summary is needed)…

For group summaries, we have no options yet to create Group Headers/Footers… But you can modify the GroupHeaderControl ControlTemplate or the Group DataTemplate to include the information you need… The Group class expose an Items property that gives you the items for the group.

ok .. the deployment of our app is 6 month +, so ill be optimistic to find summaryrows in the grid until then 😉

in meantime ill try to do my own using the group datatemplate 🙂

    thank you for the information

Is this functionality available with new release of grid i.e. with 1.2 release? If so please provide me with the details.

    Regards,
