A post in the Xceed Ftp ActiveX forum made me wonder if the base set of supported FTP listings in the .NET version was “good enough”. We plan on supporting the following types of FTP listings:
– Unix – DOS – VMS – AS/400
Just like the ActiveX library, you’ll be able to receive an event (or derive from a specific class) and provide your own custom parsing solution.
My questions are:
– Is this base set enough? – Have any of you encountered problems with the automatic parsing of the first three formats with the ActiveX library? Did you overcome it by adding manual parsing? Do you have some examples? – Do you have custom parsing you want to share with the rest of us?
