    Hi,

Is it possible to subscribe to an event that fires when the row is to be validated, so you can write a method that validates the whole row?

    Regards,
    Jesper

    Hi Jesper,

The DataGridControl currently only supports validation on cells, there is no “row” validation.

We are already planning the addition of events to the DataGridControl’s model and at the same time, we are considering extending the scope of the ValidationRules model to include row based validation.

In the mean time, if Row validation is something that you need now, I can suggest deriving from DataRow and overriding the EndEdit function… You can then add your custom validation or event and ensure that base.EndEdit() is not called upon validation errors (this will prevent update of the data item ).

    Thank you for your input!

This feature was added in the latest version of DataGrid for WPF Pro (v3.0.8415.1500), which you can download from this link :
