    I’m looking for a way to print the content of a datagrid which contains more than visible on the screen. Perhaps there are 100 rows and the columns are sorted by the user.

    I tried already the WPF function PrintVisual(datagrid) but this works only like a printscreen.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Thomas,

    “Enhanced” printing is not supported in the initial release of our grid, but it is high on our todo list and should be implemented soon.

    If you have any specific requirements, you are welcome to post them here!

    Thanks,

    I’d really like this too.

    The grid is a very nice tool for visualising, data, and once your done, it would be great to be able to get a visual object for printing that reflects what the user has done.

    Like the previous poster, I did something like

    void Print( Visual visual)
    {
    Package pckg = Package.Open(@”c:\x.xps”, FileMode.Create);
    XpsDocument xpsDoc = new XpsDocument(pckg);
    XpsDocumentWriter xpsWriter = XpsDocument.CreateXpsDocumentWriter(xpsDoc);
    xpsWriter.Write(visual);
    xpsDoc.Close();
    pckg.Close();

    }

    and then passed the datagrid to it.

    This at least gives the visible part of the grid – which was nice.

    But, I’d like to have a multi-page view – which has the column headers, the grouping if any and all the rows in the table please, eg a basic report view.
