I am using a MeshSurfaceSeries which contains 60,000 points. Needless to say it takes a LONG time to draw (about a minute), and it is impractical to let the user rotate the chart, which would be nice but is not essential.
The question is simply – which settings have a significant effect on drawing performance? I have made the loop which adds the values to the series as efficient as I can, but by placing breakpoints I can see that this is not where the problem is – it is when I call the Refresh() method to actually draw the thing that everything slows to a crawl. I have already turned off drawing of a frame. I know it has a lot of work to do, but I want to make it as fast as it can be.
I am using VS2005 and .NET 2.0. Any suggestions for things to try will be appreciated.
