Is any progress in solving performance issues? For now the grid is still useless! It is unfortunate, when we ommit these problems it is great component!

Can you tell when the new version with better performance will be released?

P.S: Infragistics WPF grid is even slower than this one. So dont be sad 😉

    Thanx Peter

    Hello Peter,

Performance enhancements will be part of v1.1 of the data grid, which should be released in early May.

Once you’ve tried it, don’t hesitate to share your impressions in this thread!

    Hi Peter,

To be more specific, we have noticeably enhanced sorting, grouping, and scrolling performance in v1.1. Live scrolling is now snappy enough to be enabled in the Live Explorer demonstrations. We think grouping and sorting when you have thousands or hundreds of thousands of rows has jumped from “unusable” to “usable” — though ultimately it is you who will tell us whether that is true or not. We’ll be eagerly awaiting to see how you classify the performance of this new version. If the community thinks performance should still be Xceed’s top priority over new features, we’re going to continue the effort as requested, though please keep in mind, the law of diminishing returns will start to kick in.
