    Anybody know the possible cause(s) of this error???

    “The compressed data contains an invalid header signature”

    It occurs when I read compressed data using : –

    Xceed Streaming Compression for .NET 1.0
    v1.0.107.0
    Xceed.Compression.Formats.dll

    It occurs in: –

    Xceed.Compression.Formats.FormattedCompressedStream.CheckReadHeader()

    Hello ASmith.

    Such an error generally means the data you’re trying to decompress is corrupted. In this particular case, you are trying to decompress a GZIP stream that does not start with the bytes 0x1F and 0x8B.

    Can you share with us the code you use to compress and decompress? What are you doing with the compressed data (transferring, storing in a DB, encoding it, etc)?
