Home Forums .NET libraries Xceed SFTP/FTP for .NET I am trying to abort a connection attempt to an FTP server, however setting the Abort property to true does not seem to affect the Connect method. Why?

The Abort property was designed to abort data transfers and not connections. The Abort property sends the “ABOR” command to the FTP server and then disconnects the data connection. In its current implementation, it does not disconnect or release the command socket, nor cancel a connection attempt.

For the moment, there is no way to stop the connection attempt.

Applies to Xceed FTP for .NET. Imported from legacy forums. Posted by Xceed admin (had 1744 views)
