    Hi,

I am trying to group by a date column as in the sample code for grouping (‘today’, yesterday’, ‘last week’…etc.). The grouping works fine, but I would like for the same grouping also when a column header is dropped on the grouping bar.

As it turns out this is troublesome to accomplish using a DateGroupingDescription since a PropertyGroupingDescription is automatically created on dropping the column header. Furthermore the list of GroupingDescriptions is read only and replacement is not yet implemented. So, there is no appearant, easy way to make the grid use a DateGroupingDescription.

Is there any known workaround for this?

    Regards
    Martin

The feature to specify a custom group descriptor for a column (so it can be used when dragging the column in the GroupByControl) is already in our todo list. We will send an update in this post whenever we have an update on this.
