I’m a beginner & downloaded your evaluation, When loading the status bar sample I get the following error in a Microsoft Development Environment message box…
gradient(argb(0 is not a valid value for int32
I was hoping you could explain why this is happening & how to end it so I can see some of the samples. I get it when looking at it in the Design View & If I try to build it.

This is the error I get when I try to compile the Sample.
An unhandled exception of type ‘System.Exception’ occurred in system.windows.forms.dll
Additional information: gradient(argb(0 is not a valid value for Int32.

Are you using a windows “tweak” utility as TGSoft ? Some third party software for “skinning” and modifying windows theme could be at the source of this problem.
When Xceed Smart UI for .NET tries to read the theme resource file, instead of a color it finds the “gradient(argb(….” expression.
Try switching back to the default WinXP Blue theme and retry.

Tried what you said (I’m using StyleXP) & it let the demo run (Thanks, I was dying to see some of these demos *lol*)… Any plans to support custom themes in the near future?

This is indeed something we are considering however, I do not have a time frame to offer at the moment.
I hope you’ll enjoy our control !
