    Hi

I have got a parent and child record displaying in the Xceed Grid. I want to programatically expand and display the child records whenever i add a child record to the parent record. ie for the first time only parent record will be displayed with + symbol (stating parent has child record). When i add a child record (child record data will be captured  in a separate dialog box) selecting the parent record, it should refresh the grid and display the child records. please advise me how to accomblish it.

    Regards

    Karthi

Well, when adding a new row in the grid, it will appear in the grid as soon as the DataRow.EndEdit() method is called.

As for having the DetailGrid expended, by it default it should be expended, but you can also set the GridControl.DetailGridTemplates[ index ].Collapsed property to false, at form load, when first creating the DetailGrid template that will be use to create every master row’s DetailGrid.
