    I am using the XCEED.FTP control, v3.2.6563.0

    When I call Disconnect:
    If m_xFTP.State <> Xceed.Ftp.FtpClientState.NotConnected Then
    m_xFTP.Disconnect()
    End If

    On one of our FTP servers (Cerberus v2.45) we get this response in the LOG.
    ÿôQUIT
    502 Unrecognized or unsupported command.
    Connection terminated.

    On the Windows 2003 FTP Server:
    We don’t even get a QUIT attempt… the connection is just dropped

    Any ideas on what is going on?

    These are extra characters sent to the server to notify it the connection will be terminated. Some servers don’t support these characters. You can set the SendTelnetInterruptSignal property on FtpClient to false, so these characters are not sent to the server.

    Not sure if this applies to the 2003 FTP server, but you can still try it, and check the result.
