    Hello,

i’ve a little testproject with a toolbar on a MDI-Form. There i created some buttons. Each button should get an icon in png-Format. If i set the image-property of a tool, then the png-picture appears perfect. When i fill a ImageList with png-images and let the tool show an icon of the imagelist, then i get a ugly border around the icon. In both cases i use the same icon!

    Any idea?

    Regards,

    Ulf

    Hi Ulf,

This occurs because the Microsoft ImageList does not support semi-transparent images. Since the Image property is of Image type and not ImageList, the image is displayed properly.

I hope this clears things up!

    Hi Jenny,

yes, this clears some things. Is there a possibility to ship around this problem? In my opinion there is no chance to set the image property directly (e.g. the “Over”-Image)!? Do you know if theres a “better” implementation of the image list?

    Regards & Happy New Year,

    Ulf
