    Hi,

Here is my requirement. Grid should be readonly unless user double clicks any row from the grid. When user double clicks the row, that row should get in edit mode and user should be able to save/commit the changes using a explicit save button in the row.
Can anybody help me out to do this?

    Thanks in Advance !!!

    Regards,
    Mohini

    To achieve this, you can:

1- Set the edit triggers to None
2- Set the cell editor display conditions to None
3- Put a handler on the DataRow class for the appropriate double click event. The handler should call the DataRow.BeginEdit() method.
4- Change the template for DataRow (see the Templating topics in the documentation ) to include your button.
5 – Add a handler to the Click event of the button to call the DataRow.EndEdit() method.
