I deal with some very large datasets and in my winforms app within my datagridview I allow display the sorting glyphs without actually allowing the gridview to sort (while i handle all the sorting programmatically). Is there a way to do that with DataGridControl? When the person clicks on the header, I want the glyph to show up, but I don’t want the grid to sort anything. I would, of course like an event to notify me of a sort request.

    Thanks!!!

There is currently no event you could hook to. Fortunately, nothing would prevent you to derive from “ColumnManageRow” and add the appropriate events/glyphs.

Note: you would have to make sure the “AllowSort” is set to false on the Row to prevent the “standard” sorting behavior.
