I am in the process of evaluating your grid and was wondering about some features.

– Freezing columns or rows so when you scroll the frozen columns/rows don’t move, but everything else does.

– The first is paging. Do you have any form of paging or plan to implement paging of any kind?

– Grouped view with aggregates. I know you have the grouping capabilities, but to go beyond that, can you sum, avg, min or max certain columns that would display in the group header row? For example – in your LiveExplorer demo, the Organizing Data section. When grouping
by the Last Played Date, can you display the average Rating in that group header row? I know it doesn’t make much sense with this type of information, but in a grid used for primarily financial purposes, it would be great to show the sum of every column in the group header row. Along the same lines, it would be important that the group header row used the same columns as the regular data rows. Meaning if you resize or moved the regular Rating column, the header row Rating column would stay in sync.

Freezing Columns:

We don’t support fixed columns in the current release, but it is something we are considering for an upcoming version.

If you have any specific requirements, you are welcome to post them in the Fixed Columns thread.

Paging:

While the data grid control do not handle paging internally, we do support data sources that perform paging. We had some “proof-of-concept” (which I cannot share, unfortunately) which demonstrated that. As long as the data source implements IList, there should be no problems.

Grouped view with aggregates:

Methods for displaying statistical functions related to a group are not implemented in the initial release of our grid, but it is on our todo list.

If you have any specific requirements, you are welcome to post them here!

Do the card-view carousel feature (that is presented on your main WPF DataGrid page in the flash demo) works?
If so, can you give a source sample?

Hi Guy,

It is being designed. We’re not close to having something to show yet. We’re trying to make one that is actually useful, and that’s not a trivial task. Have you ever seen any applications with a Carousel view that you’d like to note as particularly interesting?

Bottom line: We’re working on it, but now’s a great time to give us some input as to what you really want to see, what you imagine it could be, etc.
